Through regular meetings, the Lakeland Intervention Team strives to support our student’s mental, emotional and physical health and well-being, as well as their academic success. LIT is designed to identify threats and at-risk behaviors, assess needs, provide purposeful interventions and create support plans for students who are exhibiting concerning or disruptive behaviors. The LIT’s process is also designed to provide all Lakeland University community members who have concerns regarding students’ behavior an easily-accessible tool to make appropriate campus officials aware of those concerns. Following a referral, the LIT members will work to identify specific resources and/or referral recommendation options to the student and provide follow-up support as needed.
